According to reports, the annual gesture by Vijay was delayed due to the Lok Sabha election that saw BJP win with a vast majority. Nevertheless, just like every year, Vijay successfully managed to organise the event. However, the actor could not attend the event himself due to work commitments. Bussy Anand, secretary of the actor, organised the luncheon on the actor's behalf.
It didn’t take long for the pictures from the event that were put up on social media to go viral.
