After Sanjay Dutt, makers of KGF: Chapter 2 are in talks with Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon for a pivotal role in the Yash-starrer.
Mumbai: After the huge success of KGF: Chapter 1, the movie makers are leaving no stones unturned to make KGF: Chapter 2 a more significant film. According to reports, KGF has made around a massive Rs 250 crore at the worldwide box office and excitement for KGF: Chapter 2 among fans is at an all-time high.
Now, reports are coming in that after allegedly roping in Sanjay Dutt, actor Raveena Tandon has also been roped in the mega movie. If the grapevine is to be believed, then, this will mark Raveena's return to Kannada cinema after almost two decades. She previously played a lead in Upendra's Upendra.
The move will also draw the attention of the entire country towards the Kannada film industry and their superstar Yash. The first instalment of the movie even surpassed the collection of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Zero that released during the same time. The movie was also the highest grossing Kannada film.
Yash had revealed in an interview that they had approached Sanjay Dutt for the first part but he had refused the offer. However, he was approached again for a role in KGF: Chapter 2 though there is no official confirmation yet about his role in the sequel.
FYI, Raveena Tandon's husband Anil Thadani was the distributor for KGF: Chapter 1 and will also be of KGF: Chapter 2. Raveena has also acted in other film industries like Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali in her 27-year-long career.
Now, we are waiting for an official confirmation about the presence of Sanjay Dutt as well as Raveena Tandon. Prashanth Neel directed KGF: Chapter 1 also features actors Srinidhi Shetty, Anant Nag and Vasishta N Simha. The movie is about the rise of an underdog Bombay gangster called Rocky. The second part will most likely deal with the fall of his gangster kingdom.
