Encounter breaks out at Pulwama's Pinglish village, two terrorists killed

An encounter broke out in Tral’s Pinglish village of Pulwama district on Sunday.
 

In an ongoing encounter, two terrorists have been reportedly gunned down by the security forces in Tral’s Pinglish village of Pulwama district on Sunday afternoon.

According to sources, the gunfight started when security forces were carrying out cordon and search operations after they got specific inputs that thee-four terrorists are hiding in the area. Jawans of 42 RR, 180 CRPF and J&K police are carrying out the joint operation.

While the security forces were searching houses, militants started firing indiscriminately. Retaliating to their firing security forces also fired back. According to the reports, security forces had to stop the operation as locals started pelting stone of them to shield the hiding terrorists.

As per reports, forces have neutralised two terrorists in the operations. They are yet to ascertain their identities. Internet service has been suspended in the area.
