The RSS meet, which is slated to discuss the current national social and religious scenario of the nation and pass significant resolutions, will see participation from over 1,400 representatives and important workers of the Sangh from across the country

New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will discuss the future strategy for the coveted Ram temple in Ayodhya, apart from other seminal national issues at a three-day meet of its highest policy-making body, the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), scheduled to commence from March 8 at Gwalior’s Kedardham.

According to highly placed sources in the Sangh, the sabha in all likelihood would pass a resolution on Pulwama terror attack, the following Indian Air Force strike at Pakistan’s Balakot and the Sabarimala temple entry issue, apart from discussing the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The meet that is expected to discuss the “current national social and religious scenario of the nation and pass significant resolutions” would see participation from over 1,400 representatives and important workers of the Sangh from across the country, rashtriya prachar pramukh of the organisation Arun Kumar said.

Kumar said further that the meet would see participation from 11 regions and 43 prants, administrative distinctions of the RSS, comprising select representatives, vibhag pracharaks, those working in the different prakalps (projects) of the RSS and representatives from organisations with similar ideologies.

“In this meeting, to be organised under the guidance of sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat and coordinated by sarkaryavah Bhaiyya ji Joshi, the RSS will decide the year-long schedule of pravas (travel itinerary) of central organisers of several programmes of the Sangh, as well as that of shiksha vargs (education cells) and training,” Kumar said.

Kumar said this meeting was always held before varsh pratipada (springtime that marks the Hindu new year). The RSS, in this highest decision-making body, reviews the achievements of the previous year, makes plans for expansion in the new year and mulls over embellishing the ongoing programmes.

Kumar also said that the sarkaryavah would announce the resolutions on such issues such as terrorism, airstrike across the border and Ram temple at the closure of the meeting. The last meeting was held at the Nagpur-based national headquarters of the RSS.
