Bengaluru: Basangouda Patil Yatnal, senior BJP leader has hit out at Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of opposition and his son Priyank Kharge. In his campaign speech in Chincholi, he said the entire country wanted to see Modi to continue as the Prime Minister of India.

Taking pot shots at Mallikarjun Kharge, he said he has relegated developmental activities in his constituency and resorted to family politics to ensure his son prospers.

The BJP leader further said that though Mallikarjun Kharge is invincible, several leaders have isolated him, including Malikayya Guttedar, Malaka Reddy and others. That apart, he said that Mallikarjun Kharge has helped his son prosper at the cost of these men who had helped Mallikarjun in every possible way.

Accusing Congress of not giving a site for the cremation of the architect of the Indian Constitution, BR Ambedkar, he said that the Congress gave a site for the “useless” Rajiv Gandhi after his passing away.

The senior BJP leader also criticised Mallikarjun Kharge for saying that Narendra Modi should hang himself in public and cautioned him to ensure his son Priyank Kharge doesn’t let his tongue loose.

After Mallikarjun Kharge, it was Kumaraswamy who was in the firing line. Saying that Kumaraswamy had gone to Kalaburagi to perform pooja at the Dattatreya temple to pray for the victories of his father HD Deve Gowda, son Nikhil Kumaraswamy and nephew Prajwal Revanna, he further added that he had gone there based on an astrologer’s advice.

Criticising Kumaraswamy for his resort stay, he said the father and son go to resorts to relax while the state is reeling under stress.

He even mocked Nikhil Kumaraswamy for the infamous “Nikhil Ellidiyappa” slogan.

On the issue of Umesh Jadhav contesting elections, he said Umesh Jadhav had quit Congress and joined the BJP to see that Modi becomes the Prime Minister again.
