Yeddyurappa pooh-poohs JD(S)-Congress govt's 'loan waiver'

Bengaluru: Farmers are staging a protest in Bengaluru listing many demands including fixing of support price for sugarcane and making sugar mill owners pay the dues of farmers. BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa slammed the Congress-JD(S) government and called the loan waiver a drama. He said that if sugar mill owners are not made to pay the dues to farmers, intensified protests will be started before Belagavi session in Karnataka. However, JD(S) leader and minister for co-operation, Bandeppa Kashempur still claimed that it is a pro-farmers government and the first one in the country to waive off Rs 49,000 crore loans of farmers.
