Woman thrashed in front of police station in UP's Ballia

In Uttar Pradesh's Ballia, a woman and her friend were beaten in front of police station. They had visited the police station with a request to help find the woman's husband who's allegedly absconding. The two women were thrashed as the police silently watched it like a spectator. It is alleged that Bimal Singh, a resident of Ballia got secretly married to a woman who is a resident of Lucknow. Both lived together for some time but later he moved back to Ballia. After Bimal escaped, she came to Ballia looking for Bimal but Bimal's family helped him escape and refused to accept her. Following which, the woman had come to the police seeking help, but here too, she didn't get justice and was thrashed in front of police.
