CVoter poll predicts that out of the 119 members, the maximum vote will be obtained by the Congress and TDP alliance, followed by the TRS, and 4 seats for BJP.
Telangana: The Centre for Voting Opinion and Trends in Election Research, also known as CVoter, has predicted that the Mahakutami-alliance party of Congress and Telugu Desam Party will win the elections by 64 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana slated for December 7.
The survey was conducted for ABP News and Republic TV, since August, for the 119-member legislative Assembly. The polls estimated that the current party in power TRS would win 42 seats while BJP would grab 4 and others 9.
According to the reports of CVoters, the expected percentages for the parties stand at 33.9% for Mahakutami and 29.4% for TRS. The poll results also indicated that 42.9% of the voters still prefer the present chief minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao as popular candidate for this post. While Congress leader K Jana Reddy got 26.6% of the votes, Revanth Reddy stood at 7.20% and 27.3% of the voters stated that they were undecided.
The Election Commission has banned exit polls from November 12 till December 7, at the five-poll bound states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana. The commission also stated that exposing any kind of election content, in any electronic media would be prohibited during the "48 hours ending with the hour fixed for conclusion of poll in each of the phases”. The same has been produced in accordance with the Section 126(1)(b) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, where it has been stated that any kind of opinion poll is also applicable to the act.
