Varanasi: Little girls become police officers on occasion of International Day of the Girl Child

Varanasi: The police have taken a unique initiative on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi. On the instructions of SSP Anand Kulkarni, girls were deployed in all 15 urban centres of the district.

The deployed girls will be in the role of station house officer (SHO) from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and take decisions for the day. In the evening, the entire report will be handed over to the SSP.
