New Delhi: An Indian Air Force plane crashed in a field in Uttar Pradesh’s Bagpat district on Friday.
The two-seater microlight aircraft was on a routine mission and snagged mid-air in Uttar Pradesh. According to the IAF, it parachuted down safely and the two pilots aboard also managed to eject themselves in time.
Rishirendra Kumar, the District Magistrate of Bagpat told IANS, “The plane nosedived and is hanging upside down in between the trees. IAF officials are on the spot along with me and they are doing the needful”.
Investigations as to why the aircraft suffered a snag are ongoing.
