Even after the ban on hoardings and flex banners in the city, Bengaluru is constantly being defaced with these plastic anomalies. But a techie and his wife are turning flex banners into something more useful. Sunil Achar, a software engineer with TCS, and his wife Sowmya decided to stitch the flex banners into portable pots among other things. Sunil saw the plastic banners strewn on Bengaluru streets while travelling to work. He knew that these banners and flexes will pollute the environment since they are made of plastic and hence decided to do something about it.
