Tumakuru SP who teared up after JD(S) minister entered to pay last respects, clarifies issue

Tumakuru Superintendent of Police Divya Gopinath broke down into tears after tourism minister from the JD(S), SR Mahesh walked in to pay his last respects to Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt. Allegedly, the minister took the SP to task and berated her and called her 'bloody lady' because he was made to wait before entering the VIP line arranged for paying tributes to the Tumakuru seer. However, addressing the media, SP Divya said that arrangements were made, and rules were established to help people obtain a final glimpse of the seer whilst maintaining law and order. She clarified that no incident of minister getting angry with her occurred. She thanked the people of Karnataka for helping the police carry out the event without any problems.
