Hyderabad: Three teenagers of a family from Telangana's Nalgonda district died in a fire accident at Collierville in Tennessee in the US, relatives said on Wednesday.
According to the relatives, Sathwika Naik (16), Suhan Naik (15) and Jaya Suchith (14), were studying in the US. They attended a Christmas party at a resident's house, which suddenly caught fire on December 24.
Mahesh Naik, a relative, said that the siblings' father Srinivas Naik, a resident of Gurrapu Thanda in the district, has rushed to the US.
"The three children were studying there. My uncle (Srinivas Naik) is a church pastor and runs a school here. We got the news about the disaster on Monday. They attended a Christmas party at a house, which caught fire," Mahesh Naik said.
In a press release, the Collierville Bible church said, "The Coudriet family was hosting and celebrating Christmas with three teenagers attending an academy here in the States. The Naik family is from Missionaries in India that our church supports."
Cole, Kari and Danny from the Coudriet family and Sharron, Joy and Aaron from the Indian family, who are natives of Nalgonda district, were present at the house when the fire broke. Cole and Danny made it out while Kari and other three teenagers were unable to make it.
