Watch: Officials seize 265 kg cannabis, arrest 8 in Tamil Nadu

Thanjavur: Thanjavur range officials and police personnel arrested eight people and seized 256 kg of cannabis from them in Tamil Nadu. The contraband has been handed over to Nagapattinam NIB-unit along with a special report. The cannabis was being carried in two bags in an Innova car and in six bags in a Swaraj Mazda car. The vehicles have also been seized along with Rs 3 lakh cash. The accused are yet to be identified, but according to the latest details, two people are from Coimbatore, two from Trichy, one from Madurai and three are from Vedharanyam. A case has been booked in NGT under various sections of the NDPS Act, 1985.
