A raid was conducted at a villa in Gajwel, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao's constituency. Four girls have been rescued and seven medical practitioners have been held
Hyderabad: A special operations team busted a rave party hosted at a villa in Shamirpet and have arrested seven doctors.
The party was being held at Celebrity Resorts in Gajwel, chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's constituency. Four girls were rescued from the villa in the resort. The party was organised by medicine practitioners studying in Hyderabad.
The Balanagar zone Special Operations Team (SOT) was tipped off about the party, who acted quickly and arrested the accused.
Many incidents of rave parties have been reported from the same area. in 2014, 26 engineers were arrested from a rave party at Shamirpet.
Recently, police issued a strict warning against conducting rave parties that are illegal. The owners and managers of lodges, independent houses, villas situated in secluded places in Hyderabad were warned of strict action if they permit parties illegally.
But there are instances of entertainment parties being conducted for outstation employees of MNCs and also parties organised by businesspersons.
Recently, in September the police stated that such parties conducted by youths had become rare due to continuous raids and warnings. Cops also said that they had not only warned lodge owners, but even had counselled them against organising such parties.
However, the cops were also aware of the fact that youths might opt for new venues, away from public eye. Bearing this in mind, police kept an eye on villas at Shamirpet, Moinabad and Shankarpally on the city outskirts.
In September this year, Shamshabad Zone’s SOT raided a farmhouse in Santhapur village and busted a party where 12 youngsters were arrested including four women and one transgender.
