When asked if TRS will be BJP's ally, TRS leader KT Rama Rao said, "Absolutely not, because BJP and we don't see eye to eye on a number of counts, we have a very strong difference of opinion."

Telangana's IT Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao or KTR, son of caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, clearly said that Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) will not join hands with BJP for Lok Sabha polls.

42-year old KTR, who is a MLA from Sircilla, was answering questions of people during a live Twitter video session.

When asked if TRS will be BJP's ally, he said, "Absolutely not, because BJP and we don't see eye to eye on a number of counts, we have a very strong difference of opinion."

He termed TRS as secular party and said that unlike BJP, his party does not polarise people based on any criteria. Therefore the question of joining BJP doesn't arise at all.

Speaking further about elections, he said that the manifesto of TRS for coming assembly elections will be out this month.

When asked about who does he see as the PM candidate in Lok Sabha elections, he said that first he would like to think about the chief ministerial candidate and said that he wants his father, current caretaker Chief Minister, Chandrasekhar Rao and all ministers to come back in power after assembly elections and then would think about PM candidate.

Slams Congress

KTR slammed Congress for stooping to new lows in attacking TRS. "Principal opposition of TRS in Telanagana body shamed my kids, because they couldn't hit out in any other way. They have stooped really low," he said. He also accused Telugu Desam Party (TDP - in power in Andhra Pradesh) and its ally Congress of being responsible for hundreds of deaths during Telangana movement for separate state. Both the parties had delayed the process of separate statehood for Telangana and caused these deaths, he said.

KTR also accused the Congress of being responsible for the loss of lives during the two phases of the Telangana movement. He hit out at his political opponents, namely the TDP-Congress alliance and slammed them.
