Tamil Nadu: Two private buses crash on Salem-Bengaluru National Highway, 7 dead

Private bus driver approached Dharmapuri and tried to overtake a lorry. The driver lost control and turned to the right, crossed the divider to crash against the private luxury bus coming from Bengaluru to Kerala. The accident happened Salem-Bengaluru National Highway. Seven people died on the spot. More than 30 of the injured were admitted to government and private hospitals. Salem Municipal Police Commissioner Shankar, District Revenue Officer Sukumar, who came to the site of the accident, have hastened the rescue operations and are investigating the cause of the accident.
