Tamil Nadu inspector distributes free helmets to Narikurava community

Cuddalore: Ambedkar, newly posted inspector at Vadalur Police station in Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu distributed 100 helmets for free to two-wheeler motorists belonging to the Narikurava community.

The police inspector visited the Narikurava community in Vadalur during the festival of Pongal in January. He found that they were not economically stable and wanted to do help them in some way. He held talks with local helmet shops and bought 100 helmets at his own expense and distributed them to the people.

Through this noble gesture, Ambedkar aimed to create awareness on rider safety and usage of helmets.
