Tamil Nadu: Dravida Kazhagam workers protest after miscreants place slipper garland on Periyar's statue (Video)

Just days after residents of Tirupur were shocked to see Periyar statue vandalised with slippers placed on the statue’s head by miscreants on Sunday (September 16) during the 140th birthday of the social activist, another incident has come to light today. Miscreants had placed a garland made of slippers on Periyar statue in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. Dravida Kazhagam party workers staged a protest in this regard. They also asked the police officials to find those miscreants and arrest them.
