New Delhi: Savji Dholakia, a Surat-based diamond merchant and the owner of Hare Krishna Exporters, has said that as a Diwali gift, he will give cars to 600 employees of his company.

The employees will be rewarded under a ‘Skill India Incentive Ceremony’ where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over the car keys to two women employees of the firm on Thursday.

Some employees will also be given flats and fixed deposits.

According to The Indian Express, the diamond polishers will receive Maruti Suzuki Alto and Maruti Suzuki Celerio cars.

"Hari Krishna Group is hosting a Skill India Incentive Ceremony 2018 on October 25, 2018. As a part of our loyalty bonus program to our employees, we will be giving incentive to approximately 1,700 diamond artists and diamond engineers," Savji Dholakia said in a Facebook post.

The diamond polishers of Hari Krishna Group will be gifted Renault KWID and Maruti Suzuki Celerio cars.

This is not the first time that the company’s employees are receiving expensive Diwali gifts.

Last month, Dholakia had gifted three Mercedes-Benz GLS SUVs worth Rs 3 crore to three senior staffers who completed 25 years at the company.
