The Supreme Court transferred the case to the high court and asked the state government to file a fresh petition to the court after obtaining permission from the governor Vajubhai Vala.
Bengaluru: In a temporary relief to Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa, the Supreme Court has ruled in favour of him in the denotification case.
The apex court heard the plea filed by the Karnataka state government and Sirajin Basha against denotification charges on Yeddyurappa.
The Supreme Court has transferred the case to the Karnataka high court. It also asked the state government to file a fresh plea. But before this, the state government will have to take permission from the governor.

B. S. Yeddyurappa has come clean every time a desperate attempts was made by his coward political opponents to malign him with fake cases.
Now, if the state government wants to pursue this case further, it will have to obtain permission to do so from governor Vajubhai Vala.
Earlier, a two-member bench of the high court had quashed the application submitted by the state government, accusing Yeddyurappa of denotification. Following this, Basha had appealed in the Supreme Court to hear the case against high court's quashing orders.
Currently it depends on governor Vala and his decision on if Yeddyurappa will be lucky or again he has to face the denotification allegations.
A two-acre land was acquired by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) in 2004 to form Arkavathi Layout. It was allegedly denotified when Yeddyurappa was the chief minister in 2008.
