Specially-abled children tortured at centre meant to protect and promote them

Thiruvananthapuram: Differently-abled Kollam native was allegedly tortured by the staff of Centre for rehabilitation of the disabled, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The incident came to light when the parents noticed certain marks and wounds on the body of the kid on February 25. Following this, the parents complained to the Museum police station in Thiruvananthapuram. The reason for this alleged torture is not revealed yet by the authorities. The police are investigating the case. 

Meanwhile, the staff and authorities of the institution have denied the allegation.
