Sri Lankan navy arrest eight Tamil Nadu fishermen

Rameshwaram: On December 17, eight fishermen from Tamil Nadu were arrested by the Sri Lankan navy near Neduntheevu for allegedly fishing in the island nation's waters. Assistant director of Tamil Nadu Fisheries Department, Yuvraj said that the fishermen from Mandapam in Ramanathapuram district were fishing near Neduntheevu late Sunday when they were arrested by Lankan Navy personnel.  He also further said that the fishermen have been lodged at a camp in Sri Lanka's Karainagar.
