SP in viral kissing video transferred from Bengaluru, case filed

Recently, a techie had released a video of his wife kissing a police officer and had alleged that the cop was threatening his wife to get indulged in sexual activity.

IPS officer Bhimashankar Guled, who was posted as Superintendent of Police in Bengaluru Rural district, has been transferred after a video of him kissing a married woman went viral. However, Guled has not been given any post yet.

Guled  has been transferred and Bengaluru West DCP TP Shivakumar has been posted as the SP of Bengaluru Rural district.

The police department has taken action after the video went viral and was aired on private TV news channels in Karnataka.

Home Minister G Parameshwara has said that the matters related to IPS officers cannot be decided at the state level and that the Centre has to take action.

He said that Inspector General Neelamani Raju has been asked to probe the case. Action will be recommended to the Centre based on the report of the probe, he added.

Case filed against SP

The Bengaluru 1 ACMM Court has accepted a plea filed by the husband of the victim in the viral video. The Bengaluru court will now  take up the case and this might also lead to suspension of the SP, if the video is proved to be true.
