Sonia Gandhi unveils Karunanidhi's statue in Chennai headquarters

Chennai: UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi unveiled Tamil Nadu's former chief minister Karunanidhi's statue at the DMK headquarters on December 16. She was accompanied by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and other state chief ministers in the inauguration. During this occasion, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, and Puducherry CM V Narayanasamy were present during the opening. Along with Rahul Gandhi, the UPA chairperson paid floral tributes at the mausoleum of the DMK patriarch at Marina beach.
