Son trapped in Kundalan encounter, father dies of heart attack

On Tuesday, Father of one of the militant trapped in Kundlan Shopian gunfight died due to a heart attack

Ishaq Ahmad Naikoo the father of newly recruited militant Zeenat Ahmad Naikoo from Memander in  Shopian died due to a heart attack when he came to know about his son being trapped in an encounter which was going on at Kundalan and in Shopian districts of Kashmir.
As per the updates, two terrorists have already been eliminated by the troops in Kundalan but their bodies have not yet been retrieved. 
Two army soldiers including an officer were also injured in the ongoing encounter

A police official said the two army soldiers including a JCO suffered bullet injuries during the gunfight. Both the injured were taken to the army's 92 base hospital, Badamibagh, Srinagar for treatment.

Earlier, the joint team of army's 34 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Kundalan which resulted in the encounter.

Soon after the encounter, the people of the area, mostly youth took to streets and pelted stones on the security forces. The security forces used tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse them.
Mobile internet services, which were activated a few hours ago in Shopian, have again been suspended.
