Bengaluru: Narcotics Control Bureau team in Bengaluru seized 223.84 kg of cannabis from three men on November 13. The marijuana was stuffed in 110 packs and was transported in a Swift Dzire car of Andhra Pradesh registration. After examination, three men (including the driver) were arrested on November 14. The cannabis, sourced from Visakhapatnam, was being taken to Maharashtra via Bengaluru. Due to election-related security checks in Telangana, the accused had changed their usual Telangana route and were going via Bengaluru. They were intercepted near Devanahalli, and the cannabis was found in the car.
