Shivraj Singh Chouhan reminds Kamal Nath of women's exalted status in Hindu tradition

Kamal Nath on Wednesday had made a sexist remark about women, calling them sajawat ka saamaan (decorative pieces). Taking a strong exception to the Congress leader's intemperate remark, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday recounted the rich Indian tradition of worshipping and adoring Ganga, Gayatri, Savitri, Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, and several other goddesses as well as heroines from the Hindu pantheon.
