New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday passed a judgment allowing the entry of women between the ages of 10 and 50 into Kerala’s Sabarimala temple. Women of all ages should be allowed in Kerala's renowned Sabarimala temple, the Supreme Court ordered, ending the age-old ban. The apex court had on October 13 last year referred the issue to a constitution bench after framing five "significant" questions including whether the practice of banning the entry of women into the temple amounted to discrimination and violated their fundamental rights under the Constitution.
