The state police launched the web portal Sabarimalaq as a Digitized Crowd Management System. This portal was introduced by the police to make necessary arrangements to control the crowd. The website was launched following the instances of violence seen when Sabarimala temple was opened in October for the first time after the Supreme Court's verdict allowing the entry of women of all age groups was out.
The protests against women entering the shrine are still on. So, registering over 500 women for darshan might increase tension in and around the temple. Police sources say they are making proper arrangements to keep the situation under control.
The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will take care of transport services between Nilakkal and Pamba. This transport is also linked to the Sabarimalaq.
Private vehicles will be stopped in Nilakkal, which is 16 km from Pamba. From Nilakkal, devotees will have to either take KSRTC buses or walk to the temple.
Meanwhile, the Supereme Court has said that the review petitions filed with respect to the Sabarimala verdict will be heard on Novermber 13.
