Kannur: A group of unidentified men hurled a country-made bomb at CPI(M) MLA AN Shamsheer's house in Kannur on Thursday night as violence continued in Kerala. The MLA alleged that the RSS and Sangh Parivar were behind the attack.

As per reports, no one was injured in the attack, but a water tank and some flower pots were damaged. Many party offices of both the BJP and the CPI(M) have been destroyed in stone-pelting incidents in Kerala. Series of attacks on the houses of leaders of the CPI(M) and RSS have been reported from Kannur in the past two days after two women under the age of 50 managed to enter the Sabarimala temple and offered prayers.
