With dog squad’s help, RSASTF searches for red sanders smugglers in Tirupati

Tirupati: The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) on Tuesday was on a search mission near Tirupati's Srivari Mutt. The team received information that about 50 red sanders smugglers have been spotted in the region. With the help of a dog squad, the RSASTF team have launched search operations but it is yet to track down any smuggler so far.

Earlier, on November 22, the team spotted four smugglers near Chaitanyapuram under the limits of Tiruchanur panchayat and asked them to surrender. However, the smugglers began to attack the police with knives and threw liquor bottles at them. The smugglers were later arrested and taken to Tirupati police station.
