After serving Robert Vadra three notices to join the investigation, the ED last week conducted searches at three locations in Delhi and other cities associated with Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s brother-in-law
New Delhi: Robert Vadra, businessman and the son-in-law of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, said on Wednesday that charges of corruption against him are ‘totally false and politically motivated’.
Vadra, who is currently being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate, said, “Charges against me are totally false and politically motivated. We have replied to every notice. But my family is under stress, mother is unwell, my premises were ransacked and locks broken. Everything should be done legally, we have always been cooperating”.

According to sources in the ED, four teams investigating Vadra's assets abroad conducted the raids.
Earlier, the ED had served two notices to Vadra who reportedly did not turn up to join the probe. ED then served the third notice and later conducted the search operations.
