Post Kerala-Kodagu floods, is Bengaluru ready for yearly dose of heavy rainfall?

Bengaluru has always been known for its soothing weather, almost throughout the entire year. The city receives ample amount of rainfall, and also has a coat of green to keep it cool all along.  However after the deluge caused by unprecedented rainfall in Kerala and Kodagu, is Bengaluru prepared? Rains have in the past caused damage to the livelihood of many in the city. Will this year see a repeat in deaths or will the city be saved from the heavy rainfall?
