Karnataka: Panchayat officer cheats exchequer of Rs 1.29 crore in Hassan (Video)

Gorur Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) Naveen has been charged with cheating the Gram Panchayat of Rs 1.29 crore. A case in this regard has been filed with Gorur Police Station, Hassan, Karnataka, after a complaint was filed by Taluk Executive Officer Devarajegowda. Naveen was working as PDO from 2016 to 2018 at Gorur, Hassan. He was recently transferred to Igur gram panchayat at Sakaleshpur. However, Naveen is said to have not joined duty yet. Search is on to find the absconding PDO, who is also charged with misappropriation of money.
