Man lynched in Chidambaram, six arrested

An unidentified north Indian man was lynched by people in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. The Cuddalore Police have arrested six men with respect to this crime. The man was apparently seen trying to open the door of the car to steal things. He was caught by residents, tied up and beaten up before they informed the police. Even before the arrival of the cops, it is said that one of the accused hit the victim on his groin, killing him on the spot. The victim is yet to be identified. The cops have booked cases against the accused S Ramesh his brother S Suresh, Balarama, Shanmugam, Wageesan and Selvakumar under sections 147, 148, 294 B, 341, 324 and 304 (2) of the Indian Penal Code.
