While this egregious error went out of the national news agency’s feed, the item related to the scheme cleared by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday surprisingly appeared unedited on several major media platforms

New Delhi: News wire agency Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) has landed in a soup after putting out an article in which a crass, abusive word was used to describe PM Narendra Modi.

Sources in IANS told MyNation that a couple of employees have been asked to resign as soon as the mischief was discovered. The search for person who inserted the expletive in the article was on and sources said more heads could roll.

The sentence read: “The new scheme, Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA), was approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra B****** Modi.”

While this egregious error went out of the national news agency’s feed, the item related to the scheme cleared by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday surprisingly appeared unedited on several major media platforms.

Even as the news agency took down the concerned article, MyNation has accessed a copy of the original.
