Murder of 4-year-old in Palakkad; 3 more arrested

Palakkad: Three more members from a beggars’ network were arrested for rape and murder of a four-year-old girl in Palakkad, Kerala. The girl died due to sexual assault when one of the rapists suffocated her in an attempt to stop her from crying out.
 
Earlier on February 17, two members of the same gang were arrested by the police.

These two accused have been identified as Kavitha, Shoila and Padayappa from Tamil Nadu. As per sources, the minor was abducted from Tamil Nadu. Her body was found in a bag on January 15. 

 The accused have been charged under sections of the POCSO Act and Sections of the IPC for abduction, rape and murder. There has been no missing case of the minor reported yet in nearby police stations.
