Moral policing in Tamil Nadu: Student stabbed to death for spending time with girlfriend

Trichy: In a shocking incident, an engineering student was hacked to death by a group of four men in Tamil Nadu's Trichy district on Monday. Tamilvanan, along with his girlfriend, had gone to a desolate location to spend some time together.

Seeing the two together, four men allegedly stabbed Tamilvanan with a knife and warned the two not to enter the place ever. As the place was far from the city, the victim succumbed to his injury due to severe blood loss.

A case has been registered at the Trichy police station based on the complaint filed by the victim's girlfriend and further reports are awaited.
