Former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti said that if BJP tries to break her party, several terrorists will be born
After Mehbooba Mufti’s statement warning the BJP-led Centre on 13 July, a case has been filed against her by Anti-Terrorist Front India Viresh Shandilya and lawyer Sumit Verma at the court of chief judicial magistrate (CJM) in Ambala, Haryana.
Former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president said that if BJP tries to break her party, several terrorists will be born.
She was referring to Syed Salahuddins (chief of Hizbul Mujahideen) and Yasin Mali (chief of JKLF), who were “born” in 1987 when Muslim United Front (MUF) was repressed.
“If Delhi tries to repress the people's mandate and break the party, it can have adverse effects and will spawn forces like Salahuddin and Yasin Malik,” said Mufti.
The case was filed under IPC 121, 124 A or 153 A.
Viresh Shandilya said that the whole country is angry after Mehbooba’s comment and she should not have talked about Syed Salahuddins. He also said that her comment was against the country and threatens the peace of the nation.
Meanwhile, BJP denied all such allegations and said that they don’t have anything to do with PDP and is looking forward to form government with the help of MLAs from other parties in Jammu and Kashmir.
