After the attack in Andhra Pradesh, Maoists informed Manjoor police in Tamil Nadu that they will initiate a guerrilla attack in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka borders starting with continuous protests there. After this announcement, security at Tamil Nadu's Manjoor police station has been increased. Sandbags and fence have been placed as part of security measure at the police station. Meanwhile, superintendent of police Shanmugapriya along with other police personnel visited Nedungal and distributed materials to the tribes. Reports also suggest that a letter from Maoists was received by Kerala police too.
