'Netaji established Azad Hind Radio in 1942, which he used to communicate with soldiers of the Indian National Army and other countrymen,' PM Modi said
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation in his first broadcast of Mann Ki Baat of this year. He spoke about freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and his legacy. “Netaji will always be remembered as a brave soldier and an able organiser with his slogans like 'Dilli chalo', 'Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe azadi dunga', he created a special space for himself in every Indian's heart,” the PM said.

— PMO India (@PMOIndia)Modi said that during his recent trip to Andaman, he hoisted the tricolour in the same place where Netaji did 75 years ago. “When I unfurled the Indian flag at Red Fort on October 30 a lot of people were surprised, it was done to commemorate the 75th year of the foundation Azad Hind Party,” he said.

The Prime Minister added that programmes broadcast over Azad Hind Radio were very popular and were a major source of inspiration and strength to freedom fighters.
Modi also spoke about the Netaji files and aid that there was a longstanding demand from the people of the nation to make them public.
