Man saved from Cyclone Gaja using rope; video goes viral

A man was seen stranded beneath a flyover near Natham in Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu. He was saved by local residents using a rope. Amanullah, 26, was caught in the floods caused by Cyclone Gaja. People standing on the flyover threw one end of the rope that Amanulla was asked to tie around his waist. Initially he was reluctant and scared, but Amanulla was encouraged to do so by people around. He was then pulled up by the people on the bridge and was saved from getting washed away in the strong current.
