Karnataka: An ‘electrifying’ rescue in Mangaluru; lineman saves pigeon

Mangaluru (Karnataka): The ladder of success is indeed difficult to climb, but it would not be as difficult if you decide to rescue a bird! In a heart-warming video, a lineman belonging to Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) climbed a ladder to rescue a pigeon, hanging upside down on an electric line.

The incident took place in Hampanakatti, Mangalore.

As soon as the public spotted the debilitated pigeon sending out pleas of helplessness, they informed the MESCOM officials. Immediately, the officials deputed Rakshith, a lineman who dared to dangle with the high-voltage line, only to rescue the poor bird. As the bird was freed and flew away, the other pigeons who were watching the rescue procedure, escorted the entangled bird.

The public too expressed their happiness.
