Bengaluru: Late Union minister Ananth Kumar's body has been taken to the state BJP office and later it will be taken to the National College grounds. Soon after, a state funeral with 21-gun salute and guard of honour will be accorded to the leader.
Kumar will be cremated in accordance with Hindu rites in Bengaluru on Tuesday afternoon. People can pay their last respects to the late Union minister at the National College grounds from 10 am onwards. The last rites will be performed at 1 pm at the Chamrajpet crematorium.
Several state leaders from various parties including Siddaramaiah, Kumaraswamy, Yeddyurappa, Governor Vajubhai Vala and others paid homage on Monday. BJP national president Amit Shah will arrive in Bengaluru at 12.15 pm and attend the funeral at Chamrajpet. He will fly back to New Delhi at 5.50 pm.
