After a few scandalous revelations unveiled about the money spent by Karnataka government on the luxurious stay and beverages of ministers during the swearing-in ceremony of CM HD Kumaraswamy, another disclosure is here to shock you. According to the response received by an RTI activist, Karnataka government had incurred a total of Rs 12,74,400 on snacks for as many as 3000 guests on the day of cabinet expansion.
A total of Rs 1,94,400 was paid as the GST amount from the coffers of Karnataka government. The deluxe menu for the snacks had sweet and salty biscuits, veg cutlets, coconut burfi, pepper cashew nuts, chips, coffee/tea & mineral water.

The swearing-in ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy as the chief minister also cost the Karnataka exchequer a whopping Rs 42 cr and Andhra Pradesh chief minister, N Chandrababu Naidu’s stay was the most expensive out of the lot as his expenses came out to be Rs 8,72,485.
