Kolkata: A massive fire broke out on Monday at Kolkata’s Apeejay House situated on upscale Park Street at the heart of the city. So far 10 fire engines have been rushed to the spot.
According to sources, the fire was detected around 11 am. Employees who were inside have been successfully evacuated from the building. So far there is no news of anyone being injured.
Traffic restrictions have been put in place in the area around Apeejay House owing to this incident.

Due to a fire incident on Park Street, traffic on Park Street is closed from Mullick Bazar Crossing. Necessary diversions are on.
Just last month there was a devastating fire at Kolkata’s Bagree Market that took two days to extinguish. In 2013, there was a bigger fire that resulted in the death of 19 labourers.
