Policeman picks Gandhi Jayanti as the day to attempt suicide, demands 'justice' in case of land grab (Video)

When the Assistant Commissioner's office in Kolar was gearing up for Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, assistant sub inspector Venkata Reddy of DAR section threatened to set himself on fire with petrol. He alleged that assistant commissioner Shubha Kalyan had not taken any action against those who had encroached his land, despite an order from the deputy commissioner. Venkata Reddy had accused Ranganatha Reddy of selling his land illegally. He also accused the police of backing him. He threatened to take his life in front of the assistant commissioner's office.
