Illegal sand mining: 10 trucks seized in Karnataka

Kolar: J Manjunath, deputy commissioner of Kolar, and his team conducted a surprise raid and seized 10 sand-laden trucks in the Karnataka district. The raids were conducted at Kannasandra and Emmenattha tanks at Mulbagal in Kolar district. The sand was being illegally transported to Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The raids were conducted after local residents filed a complaint with the DC.
