The 20-year-old duo of Drishya and Sayana were missing since Monday. They were found in Tirur after the Kerala Police launched intense search operations.
Malappuram: The two missing college students from Panoor in Kannur were found at a lodge in Tirur, Malappuram on Saturday.
The 20-year-old duo of Drishya and Sayana were missing since Monday. On November 19, they went to college and did not return home. On the same day, the girls’ families filed a complaint in the police station.
The police had launched intense search operations. After checking CCTV footage, the duo was found in Tirur.

Earlier, Sayana’s parents had said that both girls are close friends since their childhood and everyday they used to talk on their mobile phones for hours. The girls’ parents had advised them to limit the use of phones.
The police also said that Drishya’s wedding has been fixed. Some alleged that the duo ran away from home to escape from marriage. There are also allegations that the two friends went to Tirur because their parents restricted them from calling each other.
They had arrived in Panoor on Sayana’s scooter. The two-wheeler was found parked on the roadside. The girls are pursuing lab technician course at a private institution in Panoor.
